Like many New Jersey natives, dancer, actor, and singer Morgan Kirner eventually made her way to New York City. In 2016, Morgan earned her BFA in musical theater from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, which kick-started her career in the performing arts. Morgan loves to inspire her clients to move joyfully and find the exercises that make them feel BEST!

Allen Holmes is a New Yorker through and through—he was born and raised in the city. Allen became a personal trainer, certified with the International Sports Sciences Association, in 2018 and has since been helping his clients reach their fitness goals. Most dancers realize their passion for movement at a young age, and Boston native Leah Dustin is no exception. She started dancing at three years old and hasn’t stopped since. Leah even earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in dance from Bridgewater State University.

Frida Persson may have grown up in a tiny, farm-adjacent Swedish village called Skene, but after a few years in Brooklyn—she’s a New Yorker. How we got started

Like any good story, Balanced was inspired by family. During the covid shutdown, the two friends realized that digital fitness for people like their grandparents were due for a revamp. Kelly even started giving her grandparents cardio boxing lessons via Facetime. 



With backgrounds in technology, startups, and fitness, the two knew that they could create a digital fitness experience to inspire and build community with healthy outcomes that all older adults deserve.

Can I do Balanced if I have an injury or physical limitation?

Before starting any new fitness regime, you should consult with your doctor. When you sign up for Balanced, you'll be given a chance to tell us about any injuries, pain, or health conditions you're experiencing. This data is saved to your profile and influences what types of classes we'll recommend for you.
Our trainers give moderations for exercises during class so that participants of all fitness levels, even those with physical limitations, can still get a good workout.
Balanced exercise focuses on working the muscles of the abdomen, hips, and back to help improve core strength and stability.
It also improves heart, bone, and joint health so you can live your longest and fullest life.

How many days per week should I be doing the workouts?

Before starting any new workout regime, you should consult with your doctor. Even if it's light activity, there are proven benefits to moving your body for at least 30 minutes a day. The goal? Movement becomes something you look forward to and love to keep doing.

Can I pause or freeze my membership?

If you need to take a short break for any reason, you can pause your balanced membership for 1, 2, or 3 months. The pause will start at the end of your current billing cycle. While your membership is paused, you won't be billed (you also will not have access to live or on-demand classes).
At the end of your designated pause, your membership will automatically reactivate. You can also unpause at any time. Your membership can only be paused in full-month increments.
